Dawn Butler is the Labour MP for Brent Central, UK. Her team approached us to build a fresh NationBuilder website to promote the work that she does and to better allow constituents to stay informed and in contact.

A vibrant design for a strong personality
It was important to Dawn Butler and her team that the website reflected not just who she is as a member of the Labour Party, but who she is as a person. Rather than using the same old Labour red we decided to construct a colour scheme based around Dawn's favourite colour, purple. We combined this scheme with bold triangular shapes and strong typography to create a forward looking, engaging site that spoke to the unique voice that Dawn brings to the landscape of British politics.
Flexible pages header layouts for more aesthetic variation
We wanted to give Dawn Butler's team as much variation as possible when constructing their pages. One way we did this was through allowing different header styles through the NationBuilder featured content section. Through the use of page tagging alone an administrator can choose to display a header image in a variety of ways with the majority of the styling being dynamically applied by css. They were also able to use a header video instead if required.
Home page design that adapts to the latest content
The new website features a dynamic home page that adjusts its layout according to the content available. For instance if there is an upcoming event then it will be slotted into the 'Latest' grid, but if there are none then the block will disappear and the other content will fill the space. It is also flexible enough to incorporate new content sections at any time without the need for any coding knowledge.
